This program has expanded from one off training in 2005 into systematic and focused interventions ranging from capacity assessment, training, mentoring, granting and verifying use of knowledge, skills and financing. Some of mentoring organizations did not require capacity assessment because they were based on HIV work place program. The following achievements have been noted:

1.  94 organizations were assessed through HDT organizational capacity assessment methods; including Health Training Institutions. They were also trained on Organizational design and development, project management and programming and quality service delivery; 31 organizations received grants; 80 organizations received mentoring for organization development;

2.  209 people trained on organization development, advocacy, networking and technical skills on management of HIV/AIDS programs;

3.  5 Umbrella organizations were given Organization Development Training on how to strengthen their capacities on coordination, resource mobilization, advocacy, communication and M &E for HIV and AIDS programs (ZAPHA +, ZIADA, ABCZ, UWAKUZA and ZANGOC) under Zanzibar AIDS Commission (ZAC);

4.  2 Program Evaluation done: Sexual Reproductive Health Services Project of Marie Stopes in 14 Districts in Tanzania and evaluation of maternal child health interventions in cost region under MDM.

5.  Conducted Situational analysis and design of M&E framework for HIV/AIDS workplace program for Immigration Department, Ministry of Home affairs;
 
6.  10 regions involved in the capacity building of CSO (Mtwara, Kagera, Dar es Salaam, Mbeya, Kilimanjaro, Dodoma, Iringa, Singida, Mwanza and Sumbawanga). Notable achievement includes, 75% of the organizations moved one level higher while 25% moved two levels higher. 85% improved on service delivery with percentage change between 85 to 100%;

7.  Our capacity building approach benefited from international experience when we supported a network of organizations caring for orphans and vulnerable children in Botswana- ( The Marang Network) in Gaborone www.marang-childcare-network.org/. The members of this network became more organized and responsive to the needs of the children.

8.  Developed and implemented the Baseline survey (KABP) among the Tanzania Police Force under Marie Stopes Tanzania;

9.  Conducted assessment of demand and supply issues in relation to maternal anemia with Helen Keller International which supported development of interventions to address them.
